Intro to Ceramics
Pick between a 4, 6, or 8 week course and join Anaid Madrigal as she introduces you to wheel throwing at Hands In Art Studio! No experience needed, Anaidl will guide you from the very beginning. Included in the workshop is all materials and tools, 25 lbs of clay with the option to buy more if needed for extra studio time. FREE studio time, meaning you can come in anytime to work as long as the studio is open. Bring yourself ready to have some fun while learning this beautiful art! Included in all lessons is our basic Studio Membership.
CLOTHING Please be dressed for mess as we will be using professional art supplies which mostly do not come out of clothing.
ARRIVAL Please arrive on time as all classes begin promptly as scheduled. ARTWORK PICK UP We’ll dry and fire your ceramic pieces in our kiln for you to take home approximately two weeks later and will call/text you to let you know when your pieces are ready for pick up. Kiln clay explosions are unlikely but they do happen. In the event of your art being damaged due to a kiln explosion, we are happy to provide emotional support and offer you a chance to come in and remake your ceramic piece.
CANCELLATION POLICY Please note we require 24 hours notice for workshop cancellation and will provide credit only. Same day re-schedule requests will incur a $15 fee. No refunds. Prices do not include tax.
Includes:
- Access to studio during open hours, except during private party/meetings.
- Access to wheels, kiln, slab roller, wedging table, work tables, and towels.
- Work-in-progress shelf for work
- Bisque and cone 05 firings added to studio firings, averaging about twice/month
- Access to stroke-and-coat glazes
